Truffles + Roses with Blue Diamond
Summertime Gathering with Blue Diamond
It's finally summer here in New York City. We had a group of girlfriends come over to enjoy the weather, crisp rosé and naturally, we made the cheese plate. We're so excited to team up with Blue Diamond to showcase their new brand of Crafted Gourmet Almonds. Nuts are such a useful addition to a cheese plate. We typically add them last, filling in the gaps on the plate. The Crafted Gourmet line consists of four flavors - Black Truffle, Pink Himalayan Salt, Garlic Herb + Olive Oil and Rosemary + Sea Salt. These aren't your ordinary nuts - If you told me I could eat an almond that tasted like a black truffle, I wouldn't believe you. Blue Diamond worked their magic to create these delicious crunchy accouterments, perfect for your cheese plate!
Creating The Plate
For this plate we were inspired by Blue Diamond's Crafted Gourmet Almonds - Black Truffle, and went with an overall truffle theme. We paired the almonds with a truffle goat cheese and truffle honey. Personally, I don't think theres such thing as too much truffle. With this plate, we played around with pairing the truffle flavor with sweeter items versus savory. The truffle almonds with sweet peaches created a party for the tastebuds.
